Busy Week

Busy week this week. Yesterday I met up with one of my newer friends K. She is super nice and from Australia. We met at the gym and started hanging out this summer. Life as an Expat means a constant turn over of friends. Some leave and more home or elsewhere and new friends are both needed and wonderful. She went home for a one month visit at the end of last year and then we travelled to the States so we had some catching up to do. I just can't imagine having family and friends so far away as she does. This was the first time she had been home in four years but said she just can't bear to let such a long time pass by again before she goes home.

This is a picture I took one morning last week as I was leaving for work. Those clear days are just gorgeous.

C left for Paris this afternoon. Business trip for two nights. I don't really mind. I plan on easy dinners, curled up on the couch with something good to watch on Netflix.

Busy week at work. My college will be gone next week and there were a ton of things to go through before that.

The yearly SWEA meeting will be held on Thursday. I need to bake and prepare myself for my new tasks as secretary.

This week has been pretty grey. I don't mind cold weather but the lack of sunshine just gets to my mood after a while. It has been really mild so far this week. Feels kind of weird. We had a friend that used to live here that moved back to Sweden on a visit here over the weekend. The plan had been to go skiing Sunday but that did not work out at all. Checked the weather forecast that said rain at all elevations for one of the larger ski areas not so far away. So instead we went on an excursion to the pretty town of Luzern about an hour away from Basel and visited the Museum of Transportation there. A very cool place where you could learn everything and anything about planes, boats, trains, cars and space. Lot's of interactive and fun stuff for both adults and kids.

We are going skiing not this weekend but the next one and I want it to look like this.

Totally in love with my tulips.

We finally got a new vacuum cleaner. The old one from Alabama is still working but many of the plastic parts have broken. Also it is kind of a pain in the as to have to plug it into the electric converter every time you are to use it. So we got this Philips that was on sale and I really like it so far.

Long time no see!

Usel vinter so far!

Kram kram!

Kramar!
