It is beautiful up here in Scandinavia now. Sun setting late, the light and bright nights. As we drove through the southern parts of Sweden the light was so spectacular I kept wishing I could just stop and take picture after picture a long the way.
C's parents super cute little cottage by the small lake deep in the Swedish woods. We actually surprised them by calling from northern Germany and saying that we would stop by and spend the night. We ended up spending an extra day there. It was nice to get some rest before continuing our journey to Stockholm. C also got a chance to spend a little time with his parents as well. We left Blekinge today around 10 am and reached Stockholm in the evening. We had to make a stop further up the east coast to pick up the key to a friends apartment that we are staying at here in Stockholm.
So much in bloom right now. Love the sweet scent of the Jasmine in the summer night.
Goose berries. Not ripe yet tough. Still need some more time to get sweet enough.
We have enjoyed the some of the most delicious Swedish summer treats at Carl's parents farm. Home grown new potatoes with Swedish herring as well as home grown super sweet strawberries. It all tastes so much more and so much better when it is home grown.
Yesterday we enjoyed a magnificent sunset by the lake after a delicious BBQ meal.
Now we are staying in Stockholm for the rest of this week and next week as well. C's ocean race around the island of Gotland starts on Sunday. I think we have a great week a head of us.
