The views from our balcony were just fantastic any time of the day but especially so at dawn and dusk of course. Used to start the day by going out here with a cup of coffee before sunrise and then sitting out here admiring the ocean and the first rays of daylight hitting the beach.
All kinds of things to admire as you walk a long the beach. So many pretty sand castles built each day by both kids and adults. Each day they are swept away by the waves and new ones being built once more. A never ending cycle of creative work and art.
Early morning fisher. I loved going for a morning jog a long the beach. Such a beautiful way to start the day but also there was also so much to see. People, birds, dolphins jumping among the waves, pretty seashells washed ashore during the night.
I managed to get a nice tan in the 10 days we had at the beach. It is fading off now but there is still a little left. Oh my what some sunshine can do when it comes to boosting your spirits. We have after this vacation realized the importance and greatness of getting away and escaping the cold and dark winter days.
Crazy sushi lunch at the Publix parking lot. This was new years eve and me and Carl were in charge of the grocery shopping as well as the new year dinner preparations. We had a busy day and lunch kept getting postponed. Finally we were both starving. So while doing the grocery shopping we each got some sushi that we both love. We were just to hungry to try to find a prettier lunch spot. However, the sushi was delicious even here at the Publix parking lot.
Quality time with the little nieces. One of the best things about this family vacation was the bonding with the little ones specially now that we no longer live in Sweden and can't visit so often. They are coming to visit us in July here in Basel this summer, which we are exited about of course.
Pretty things on the beach.
Beautiful shells at Sanibel island. That is where you are able to make the best catches and find the most beautiful seashells.
I have no idea who this little girl is. She was just so cute walking around in her sunglasses. Such a little beach babe.
Iris and Ella buried in sand. That is a classic. I guess we have all done this as kids. I remember pictures just like these ones of me and my brother although they were taken in Denmark and not Florida.
Have a great Wednesday y'all. C is home from work since yesterday with a sore throat and fever. I hope I don't catch whatever he has. That was another great thing about our Florida vacation that no one was sick or got sick during our stay there.
