We arrived late afternoon and from our roof top terrace of our hotel we had this excellent view over the city. Had a hard time trying to put my camera down as the sun set in the horizon. As the sun set the pulse of the city seemed to pick up. Neon signs of the various night clubs and dance places light up. The laughter of people and the sound of voices filling the air from the outdoor restaurants and bars. Such a different city from most other US cities. So much a live.
The last dark clouds of thunder in the distant sky and the rustle of the palm trees in the wind.
A city with many faces and many neighborhoods. The latin vibe is present all over the city though. Here in Miami you hear more Spanish than English. Me and C went for a walk early morning when the sun had just risen. The streets here at South Beach gleamed in the sunshine being recently washed clean during the early morning hours. The area around South Beach is a main tourist area and it is all very well kept and clean.
You do meets all kinds of people when you take an early walk on the beach. You see it all from the fancy guy in an fine suite to the poor homeless man curled up under a jacket sleeping on the beach.
South Beach is one of the main Artdecco areas famous for it's special style and architecture. Very cool!
The beach offers a varied and laid back style. People swimming in the ocean, others lying around enjoying the sun, relaxing with a good book. Cool food trucks for those that are hungry serving everything from burgers to ceviche.
A city full of color in all kinds of way.
I love this picture of C holding his little nice's Ella's hand as she is clutching her bunny. Such a cute and sweet sight. One of the best things about this trip to Florida is the bonds that we made with each other and all the wonderful memories that were generated that we will be able to share and enjoy for many many years.
So happy we passed by this true diner. Have seen pictures of diners but never passed by a real one like this one myself before.
Blue skies, sunshine, the sound of the emerald green waves crashing against the shore, sky scrapers and luxurious hotels lining the beach.
