Right now is the best part of fall. Everything is ripe and ready. Best time for farmers markets. Cool crispy morning air. The season of pumpkins and squash in all kinds of colors, shapes and twists. So pretty and so good. Easy to use in so many dishes because of their relative neutral flavors.
I just love passing by the local farmers market at the big town square when ever I head into town right now.
Here at the market the sell branches of rosehip. Pretty fall decore for your out door patio or in a tall vase.
Then you got the mushrooms. Last week I made e simple mushroom pasta with some different kinds that turned out very yummy.
This is something that I was surprised to find. I have never seen them selling these in Sweden. They look like cute lite green furry balls. I guess you need to open them up and roast them or?
C is still home fighting his cold but he is slowly getting better. A friend from ours that we got to know in Alabama but now lives in Finland is here in Basel for a few days. Hopefully we will be meeting up for a drinks and some catching up tomorrow evening. Right now I have a lot on my mind as well. Heading for another job interview tomorrow afternoon. So things are getting stirred around here right now anyway.
